Motorcyclist takes off his shoes to enter shop... has them nabbed by driver outside

This is the amusing moment a motorcyclist takes off his muddy shoes to go inside a grocery store – before another motorist takes them.

The man parked his moped outside the Max Mart store in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand on August 19 at 1:30am.

He is seen on CCTV removing his black Crocs style footwear - a local custom in the country when visiting someone else's building, especially if the shoes are dirty.

But while the man was inside, two lads are seen picking up the tatty old shoes and drive away in their white Honda.

Shop assistant Nong Pattrawadee, 20, said the shoe theft victim came into the store after the incident asking what had happened.

She believes that one of the men who took them was drunk, and mistakenly believed they belonged to their friend who was in the car with them.

Nong said: ''The man told us that his shoes had a lot of mud on because of the rain and he took them off to come inside the shop.

''When he went back out his shoes had gone missing. We checked CCTV and saw what had happened.

''I think the person who first picked them up was drunk and and mistakenly thought they belonged to his friend. Then his friend picked them up and took them.''
