US Oil Producers Evacuate Gulf Of Mexico Ahead Of Storm

According to Reuters, oil producers in the Gulf of Mexico are evacuating their offshore platforms ahead of a tropical storm.
So far, crude oil and natural gas production in the US-regulated areas of the gulf dropped by 9-percent each, as Tropical Storm Gordon is expected to pass through the region.
Companies evacuated 54 offshore platforms, which cut production by 156,907 barrels of oil per day, and 232 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.
