Why You Should Try Using Coffee Instead Of Water In Baking Mixes

Boxed baking mixes don't require much culinary skill, but they can still be tweaked. Lifehacker suggests mixing coffee instead of water into brownie mix to make the batter. Aside from brownies, this would work well with any chocolate mix. Adding coffee adds depth to the flavor, intensifying the chocolate. Substitute an equal volume of coffee for whatever amount of water the box recipe calls.
