An analyst has warned that Tesla's volatility could be costing it millions in the long term.
Canaccord Genuity said Tuesday that the snubbing of Tesla by Toyota for investment didn't bode well.
Toyota recently announced a $500 million investment in Uber for driverless vehicles.
However, Business Insider reports Toyota overlooked Tesla entirely.
Tesla will need to secure profitability by the end of the year to maintain solvency.
