Nottingham man lying still on the middle of road shocks bus passengers

Bus passengers were shocked as they drove by a man lying in the middle of the road in West Bridgford, Nottingham.

The man was lying on the ground with his hands behind his head as he gazed up at the sky. The driver leaned out of the window to ask the ginger-haired man what he was doing but he ignored the question.

''I was on my way to the football. Some of the old dears on the bus were a bit shocked by it," passenger Darren Maguire said.

The incident happened at around 7 pm on August 29 near Trent Bridge cricket ground while roads were busy ahead of the football game between Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United.

Passers-by eventually dragged the man off the road and he walked away from the scene.

''He wasn't blocking the bus lane, but the bus still had to stop. The bus managed to get by him very slowly," Maguire added. "It was dangerous though so I hope he doesn't do it again.''
