Mario Lopez & Tiffani Thiessen Have Mini ‘Saved By The Bell’ Reunion
  • 6 years ago
On a new episode of Ellen, former Saved by the Bell stars Mario Lopez and Tiffani Thiessen reunited onscreen to catch up with each other for the first time in years. Host Ellen DeGeneres let Mario take the reigns for the day, so he called up his old cast mate to make some TV magic.
The two joked that they couldn’t believe that they really are that old. “I thought it was 20 years, but it’s been 30 years since Saved by the Bell!” Mario laughed. “We are old, we are really old,” Tiffany agreed.
Mario and Tiffani cooked up some decadent dishes, as she was there to promote her new cookbook, Pull Up a Chair: Recipes from My Family to Yours. Tiffani currently hosts her on show on the Cooking Channel, Dinner at Tiffani’s. Then the friends retired to the couch where they discussed their old show and took a walk down memory lane. The two are parents to young children who know how their famous mom and dad started their careers.
“Harper started watching it a tiny, tiny bit. I was okay with season one but after that kissing started happening and I was like, ‘No, no, no we’re done,’” Tiffani said. “She’s 8,” added the mom of two. “Harper was into it [because] she was so into [Lopez] and Mark-Paul [Gosselaar]. She’s so boy crazy already, I’m in trouble.”
But Mario’s kids aren’t so into their dad’s old show. “My kids have given it a shot and [they’re] not feeling it.” His children have even asked him: “Daddy why is your hair like that?” Kids can be so cruel!
