Trump: White House Is A 'Smooth Running Machine'

President Trump on Thursday said that the White House is a "smooth running machine."
President Trump on Thursday challenged the many recent reports regarding the increasing chaos in the White House and his daughter and son-in-law's alleged involvement in the departure of counsel Don McGahn. "Ivanka Trump & Jared Kushner had NOTHING to do with the so called 'pushing out' of Don McGahn.The Fake News Media has it, purposely,so wrong! They love to portray chaos in the White House when they know that chaos doesn't exist-just a 'smooth running machine' with changing parts!" Trump wrote on Twitter. Politico reported in the days prior that the relationship between Trump and McGahn had deteriorated over the past months. The two reportedly clashed on a number of key matters, including those related to the Russia investigation. McGahn is said to have been forceful in his urgings to keep both special counsel Robert Mueller and Attorney General Jeff Sessions in their current positions. Trump announced McGahn's departure in a tweet, writing on Wednesday: "White House Counsel Don McGahn will be leaving his position in the fall, shortly after the confirmation (hopefully) of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the United States Supreme Court. I have worked with Don for a long time and truly appreciate his service!"
