IT ministry issued an advisory following reports of suicides by youngsters. Is it enough to save lives?

The government has issued an advisory against the momo challenge. The advisory, issued by the ministry of electronics & IT, comes in the wake of reports of suicide by some youngsters in certain parts of the country. The advisory read, “It is reported in the media that there is a new online challenge game called ‘the momo challenge’ which started on Facebook where members are ‘challenged’ to communicate with unknown numbers. It went viral on social media platforms, especially whatsapp, the ministry asks parents to look for “signs and symptoms” to guard their children from any potential danger.
