This clever rescue dog entertains people by doing maths.

The three-year-old Apsin breed was found in the streets of Manila, Philippines by Ediboy Redoloza, two years ago.

The young student nicknamed the puppy 'Blackjack' and set about teaching him how to do add and subtract numbers, recognise the figures on money and even the value of playing cards.

Ediboy, 18, now sits with his beloved pooch outside the train station where Blackjack entertains commuters with his talents.

The High School student said: ''I found Blackjack on the streets when he was just a puppy.

''The dog was weak and he had no food, but he was adorable. I knew there was something very special about him so I adopted him.''

Ediboy trained Blackjack for almost two years before he was ready to do the street shows.

In the video, Blackjack's owner picks up a 10 pesos coin and asks ''how much is this'' to which the dog will answer with 10 barks.

His owner then asks the dog ''10 minus 2'' to which Blackjack answers with eight barks.

For every correct answer, Blackjack gets a treat. He also does card tricks.

His owner will let the audience pick a card from the deck, and then asks the dog which card was taken.

Blackjack gets the correct answer by barking as many times as the number that is written on the card taken. He then dances on his hind legs.

Blackjack helps the boy financially through the donations that they get from the shows.

Ediboy added: ''I love my beautiful dog. He is my best friend. We work as a team. We earn money together.''
