'The Connors' to Kill off Roseanne Barr According to John Goodman, Roseanne Barr's character will be dead in the upcoming 'Roseanne' spinoff The Conners. Earlier this year, ABC cancelled the program following controversial comments from Barr on Twitter. Given the show's success, ABC soon announced the rest of the cast would be moving forward with a
"Roseanne-less" spinoff. In a new interview, Goodman says his character, Dan Conner, will "be mopey and sad because his wife's dead." Ironically, Dan himself was revealed to have died in the original series finale back in 1997. However, his character was revealed to be alive for the series revival. The Conners will premiere on October 16 at 8 PM ET on ABC.
