After Rehab Announcement Law enforcement sources tell TMZ The LAPD was notified of the perpetrators' plan and added extra patrols around her home. Last month, TMZ broke the story about Lovato's drug overdose, which sources say was likely caused by Oxycodone laced with Fentanyl. She went to rehab after spending a couple of weeks in the hospital and temporarily left to seek help from a mental health and addiction specialist in Chicago.
