Japan's Rikako Ikee becomes first woman to win six golds in any Asiad game

A week into the Asian Games in Indonesia, the Japanese swimmer Rikako Ikee has emerged as the undisputed golden girl having won a record six gold and two silver medals in the pool. On Friday, the eighteen-year-old Ikee won the 50 m freestyle gold as she edged out China's Liu Xiang to claim her sixth gold of the Games. In the process, Ikee also became the first female athlete in any sport to scoop six gold medals at a single Asiad.
