Timelapse video captures brush fires in Maui as Hurricane Lane approaches

Timelapse video filmed from a balcony at the Westin Maui Resort & Spa in Ka’anapali captured brush fires in Maui as Hurricane Lane approached the island on August 24.
"The winds from the hurricane and dry conditions were fueling these fires,” ABC7 reported.
Although rain from Hurricane Lane caused flooding on the Big Island, ABC7 Meteorologist Mike Nicco said Maui could use the rain from Hurricane Lane to help with the fires but Maui hasn’t gotten much rain so far.
