Avengers 4: Will your favourite superheroes rise from the dead?

There are a thousand theories as to what will happen in Avengers 4 and it is commonly accepted that the plot of Avengers 4 will involve the surviving heroes traveling back in time and rescuing their 'dead' friends. This theory was seemingly corroborated when pictures from the sets of the fourth Avengers film showed Iron Man, Captain America and others back filming the Battle of New York. But the directors of Infinity War and Avengers 4 have been adamantly denying that character deaths will be reversed. Writer Stephen McFeely said, “If we say goodbye to some characters, we will say it permanently.” But an unofficial plot synopsis for the film, published in a magazine that also (accurately) revealed the first synopsis for Infinity War, teased time travel and alternate dimensions. The leaked set pictures suggest that the surviving Avengers will return to a pivotal moment in their history, the Battle of New York from the first film, where Thanos first sent his armies to Earth and learned of Tony Stark.
