Flights land in Spokane, Washington as neighboring wildfires continue to burn

Neighboring wildfires burning in the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia continued to prompt record low air quality ratings in Washington state on August 22.

This video, shared to Twitter by Joel Hageman, shows a Southwest Airlines plane making a landing on the Spokane International Airport runway on August 19.

Over the weekend, heavy wildfire smoke forced flight delays at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The city of Seattle, close to the wildfires raging in the west, has suffered historically low air quality ratings the past two weeks.
