Former Brazilian Soccer Boss Sentenced To Four Years In Prison & Fined $1.2 Million

According to a report by Reuters, on Wednesday, a former president of Brazil's soccer federation was sentenced to four years in prison after being convicted of corruption charges in relation to a bribery scandal at FIFA, the governing body of the sport. 86 year-old Jose Maria Marin was sentenced in a Brooklyn, New York District Court, on six conspiracy counts, including racketeering, wire fraud, and money laundering.
