Malta rescues 100 migrants stranded off Mediterranean amid burden-sharing spat with Italy

About a hundred migrants crossing the Mediterranean to Europe in a small boat have been rescued in Malta.
Malta's military recovered the bodies of two people who died during the journey.
Tensions have been brewing between the island and Italy after Rome accused Malta of not taking in its share of some 400 migrants who were allowed to land in Italy last month.
The Maltese government hit back, saying it had been in touch with Italian authorities in order to fulfill its obligations.
