Career
Varun Sharma hails from the city of Jalandhar from where he completed his schooling. After which, he relocated to Chandigarh and obtained his graduate degree in Media, Entertainment and Film Technology from ITFT, Chandigarh. After which, he relocated to Mumbai and started assisting casting director Nandini Shrikent for films such as Yeh Jawani Hain Deewani and Talaash.

He then started appearing in various commercials such as Nissan Micra, eBay, and Airtel among others. He finally made his film debut through Mrighdeep Singh Lamba’s film titled Fukrey in the year 2013. His performance as Choocha won him a lot of praise along with awards. After which he played various comic and character roles in films like Dolly Ki Doli, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon and Dilwale among others. He reprised his role of Choocha in the sequel of Fukrey film called Fukrey Returns in 2017. Like the previous performance, this one too received a lot of appreciation.
