Lombok Earthquake Triggers Mountain Landslides

A powerful 6.3-magnitude earthquake triggered landslides in the mountainous north of Lombok on Saturday in the latest quake to shake the Indonesian island.Clouds of dust rose from the hills above the village of Sembalun Lawang in the northeast of Lombok when the earthquake struck at around 11.10 am on August 19. Data from the United States Geological Survey shows the shallow quake struck just 4 miles north of the village.
