Karnataka: State govt announces Rs 2.2 crore interim reliefs for people rescued from Kodagu district

As heavy rains continue to lash Karnataka and the rescue operations continue in full force, the Karnataka government has announced Rs 2.2 crore interim reliefs for 5,800 people rescued from the flood-hit Kodagu district. Meanwhile, a cyclone warning has been issued in coastal Andhra Pradesh, with the met department observing that a low pressure belt was being formed in the Bay of Bengal.
