The flooding is said to be the worst in nearly a century.

Aram… what's the latest?

Well Mark… rescuers are working frantically to try and extract the thousands of people left stranded by the floods.
Dozens of helicopters and hundreds of boats have joined the rescue effort.
They are also providing food and water supplies to those in isolated areas.
The flooding came after about two weeks of torrential rain, which is common during the monsoon season.
But India's weather authorities say Kerala was hit with substantially more rainfall than normal.
There has been a lull in rainfall since Sunday and is said to likely ease over the next few days, giving officials a window of opportunity to accelerate rescue operations.
The floods have damaged hundreds of kilometers of roads and have caused disruptions to the region's train and air services.
The extent of the damage will become clearer as the water subsides.
Thousands of relief camps have been set up to provide temporarily housing to hundreds of thousands of displaced residents.
