Smoke from multiple wildfires gave the skies of British Columbia an orange haze on August 18, as evacuation alerts were issued for multiple effect areas in the province.Environment Canada issued multiple air quality warnings for cities in British Columbia due to the effects of the smoke. Prince George, in the north of the province, had a “very high risk” rating for its air quality as of August 19.Wildfires burning in the far north, west, and around Vancouver Island left the province blanketed with hazy, smoky conditions.
