Former White House staffer Omarosa Manigault Newman has claimed that President Trump could “somehow invalidate” his Slovenia-born wife’s U.S. citizenship if he wanted to.

Former White House staffer Omarosa Manigault Newman has claimed that President Trump could "somehow invalidate" his Slovenia-born wife's U.S. citizenship if he wanted to.
According to the Mercury News, the former "Apprentice" contestant makes the allegation in her new book, "Unhinged: An Insider's Account of the Trump White House," where she writes of the president and first lady, "Since Donald is fully aware of however she acquired her permanent citizenship, he could, if there were anything fishy around it, expose the methods and somehow invalidate it. He is a vindictive man, and I would not put anything past him."
"If Melania were to try to pull the ultimate humiliation and leave him while he's in office, he would find a way to punish her….In my opinion, Melania is counting every minute until he is out of office and she can divorce him," Manigault Newman adds.
President Trump, for his part, has blasted his former aide in the wake of her book, tweeting, "When you give a crazed, crying lowlife a break, and give her a job at the White House, I guess it just didn't work out. Good work by General Kelly for quickly firing that dog!"
"Wacky Omarosa, who got fired 3 times on the Apprentice, now got fired for the last time," Trump also wrote on Twitter. "She never made it, never will. She begged me for a job, tears in her eyes, I said Ok. People in the White House hated her. She was vicious, but not smart."
