Another Drop In The Turkish Lira Drives Equity Markets Lower

According to a report by Reuters, on Friday, another steep decline in the Turkish lira pushed emerging market equities lower and kept other world markets hesitant, overshadowing hopes that an upcoming US China meeting could resolve fears over trade tariffs. Reuters reports that China’s Ministry of Commerce said in a statement that a Chinese delegation led by Vice Minister of Commerce Wang Shouwen is scheduled to meet with U.S. representatives.
