Cardi B to open MTV Video Music Awards

Cardi B will open this year's MTV Video Music Awards.
The 25-year-old rapper will kick off the highly-anticipated show on August 20 with her first live performance since she gave birth to her daughter Kulture, whom she has with husband Offset, one month ago.
Taking to her Instagram account, Cardi confirmed that she was opening the VMAs by re-posting the announcement from the awards show's Twitter site.
She captioned it: "See you there!"
Her big opening gig comes just weeks after she announced her decision to pull out of Bruno Mars' '24K Magic' tour, which kicks off in two weeks, because her body didn't feel ready to do the choreography every night so soon after giving birth.
