Korean teams kick off Asian Games campaign with big wins

South Korea's national football team started their 2018 Asian Games campaign in style... with a huge win in their first match in Indonesia.
The Taeguk Warriors smashed Bahrain six-nil in their group stage game on Wednesday night in Bandung, some 160 kilometers south of Jakarta.
Hwang Ui-jo, one of the wild card players along with Son Heung-min, scored a hat trick.
The men's football competition at the Asian Games features 25 teams,… and South Korea are grouped with Bahrain, Malaysia and Kyrgyzstan in Group E.
Meanwhile, the unified Korean women's basketball team thrashed the host nation 108-40, notching the first ever win by joint Korea basketball team in the process.
The Asian Games open officially on Friday.
