MoviePass has been hit with a class action lawsuit. According to Comicbook.com, Deadline reports that shareholders of MoviePass parent company Helios & Matheson have filed a suit against the company for compensation. Helios & Matheson posted an operating loss of $126.6 million this past quarter. Jeffrey Braxton, one of the company's shareholders, filed the suit in New York on Monday, saying he and others were lied to about the MoviePass business model.
