EMPOWERING THROUGH EDUCATION: SALMA QURBAN

3,400 learners from the Continuing Education Unit (CEU) in Faizabad have enrolled in high quality entry and intermediate level courses in applied English, Accounting, and Information Technology since the CEU began operations. The CEU Faizabad was established by the University of Central Asia’s (UCA) School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPCE) in cooperation with Badakhshan University of Faizabad, Afghanistan in 2014.

It is supported by the Multi Input Area Development Global Development Alliance (MIAD GDA) - an alliance between the Aga Khan Foundation and the United States Agency for International Development. The aim of the alliance is to support long-term stability and growth in Afghanistan’s Badakhshan region through improved quality of life and socio-economic development of the residents. To date, CEU has enrolled more than 1,300 unique learners where 25% are females.
