At long last, West Papuan political prisoner Yanto Awerkion has finally been freed! Thank YOU all so much for supporting his release!

After 10 months in jail, and threats of a 15 year jail sentence for "treason", at long last Yanto has finally been released. He was arrested on 30th May 2017 for his role in supporting the historic West Papuan People's Petition, signed by over 1.8 MILLION West Papuan people.
The fantastic song "Merdeka" was composed by the brilliant Vanuatu music legend Vanessa Quai and can be heard in full here:
