날씨: 광복절에 남부에 강한 비

Now we turn to Michelle Park at the weather center for the latest updates. Michelle, after several weeks of scorching weather, we finally have some rain.

It's going to be a rainy National Liberation Day for the southern parts of the country while the central region will be somewhat cloudy with very light showers. This is due to the typhoon "Leepi" that's currently moving up northwards, weakening into a tropical low pressure and pushing up a lot of steam.

The rain is expected to start tomorrow afternoon and last until the next day. The amount of rain seems to be quite a lot especially in Jeju and the southern coasts,... with up to 120 millimeters of precipitation in Gyeongsangnam-do Province. So make sure to plan your day off accordingly.

The morning temperatures will be nearly 30 degrees Celsius, so find a way to stay cool through the tropical night.

Daytime high in Seoul will hit 36 degrees, while Busan and Jeju are bearable at 32 and 33 degrees respectively.

For Seoul, there is no sign of the heat easing even during next week, as hot dry air is flowing in persistently.

I'll leave you with the weather conditions around the world.
