The moment Morandi Motorway bridge collapses in Genoa, Italy 14.08.2018
The bridge, a part of the A10 motorway, is about 100 metres tall, Italian media say - and there are images that show that cars have been involved.
Photographs from the scene show huge sections of rubble on the ground underneath the middle of the bridge.
One image shows a truck perched at the end of the surviving bridge section immediately before the drop.
Ponte Morandi, il ponte dell'autostrada A10 che collega Genova al suo ponente cittadino e poi a Savona e Ventimiglia è crollato questa mattina. Un rtatto del viadotto sospeso a diverse decine di metri si è abbattutto per un cedimento strutturale sull'abitato sottostante. Decine le auto che sarebbero precipitate.Il 118 ha dirottato tutte le ambulanze disponibili. SI parla già di vititme e di decine di feriti.
