Formula E’s Sustainable Legacy at the 2016 VISA London ePrix

Julia Palle, Sustainability Manager at Formula E talks us through sustainability, how it is incorporated into the championship, the Legacy Programmes and how we envisage the future of sustainable transportation.
It is Formula E‘s vision to have a positive impact on both people and the planet in terms of sustainability. The championship represents our mission to bring electric motor-racing to city centres for not just exciting world class urban entertainment, but to drive technological change in sustainable transportation to offer a solution to air quality issues in city centres.
Behind the scenes of the on-track excitement, we engage with our community through our Legacy Programmes in order to raise awareness around social and environmental messages to have a positive impact globally, and locally. This year at the VISA London ePrix our Local Charity Partner was StreetGames, a charity dedicated to bringing sports to the doorstep of 100,000 young people from disadvantaged areas all over the UK in a creative and engaging manner.
