Trump: Mueller's 'Witch Hunt' Should Be Dropped After FBI Agent Peter Strzok Firing
  • 6 years ago
President Trump on Monday responded to reports of Peter Strzok firing.

The Washington Post reported Monday that FBI agent Peter Strzok "who helped lead the bureau's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election until officials discovered he had been sending anti-Trump texts" has been fired.
Reacting to the news, President Trump called for an end to special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe.
"Agent Peter Strzok was just fired from the FBI - finally. The list of bad players in the FBI & DOJ gets longer & longer. Based on the fact that Strzok was in charge of the Witch Hunt, will it be dropped? It is a total Hoax. No Collusion, No Obstruction - I just fight back!" Trump wrote on Twitter.
And in another tweet, he stated: "Just fired Agent Strzok, formerly of the FBI, was in charge of the Crooked Hillary Clinton sham investigation. It was a total fraud on the American public and should be properly redone!"
Trump has repeatedly dismissed the Russia probe as a "witch hunt."
He wrote last month:  "There is No Collusion! The Robert Mueller Rigged Witch Hunt, headed now by 17 (increased from 13, including an Obama White House lawyer) Angry Democrats, was started by a fraudulent Dossier, paid for by Crooked Hillary and the DNC. Therefore, the Witch Hunt is an illegal Scam!"
