BritAsia TV caught up with Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa to talk about music, featuring in Bollywood movies, his acting career and much more.

Guru Randhawa is an Indian singer and songwriter from Punjab, India. His track ‘Suit’ with British Asian R&B singer Arjun was extremely popular with the South Asians across the UK. The singer’s subsequent hit songs, ‘High-Rated Gabru’, ‘Lahore’, ‘Patola’, ‘Made in India’, ‘Aaja Ni Aaja’ and ‘Ishare Tere’ enjoyed similar successes.

‘Lahore’ is the first Punjabi song to cross 500 million views on YouTube and he has since recreated songs for Bollywood, such as ‘Suit’ for ‘Hindi Medium’, ‘Tu Meri Rani’ for ‘Tumhari Sulu’, ‘Patola’ for ‘Blackmail’ and ‘High Rated Gabru’ for ‘Nawabzaade’ featuring Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor.
