Trump On Harley-Davidson Customers Boycotting The Company: 'Great!'

President Trump on Sunday again spoke out against Harley-Davidson.
President Trump on Sunday voiced his support for Harley-Davidson customers after a New York Times report noted that some of them planned to boycott the company in light of its announcement to shift some production overseas.
"Many @harleydavidson owners plan to boycott the company if manufacturing moves overseas. Great! Most other companies are coming in our direction, including Harley competitors. A really bad move! U.S. will soon have a level playing field, or better," Trump wrote on Twitter.
Trump has repeatedly slammed the iconic US motorcycle manufacturer over its tariffs-motivated decision to move some of its production out of the US.
"I guarantee you everybody that ever bought a Harley-Davidson voted for Trump," the president told Fox News' Maria Bartiromo in an interview. "They are called, 'Bikers for Trump.'"
"I think [Harley's] going to take a big hit. I just think it's a great American product and our people have more pride than they used to have," Trump added. "They don't want [Harley] built in another country."
Harley-Davidson's announcement is linked to Trump's decision to impose tariffs on allied nations like those in the European Union, notes the Times. The EU responded by slapping steep tariffs on a number of US goods, including motorcycles.
