Rescue workers in Indonesia pulled an 18-year-old woman alive from rubble on Wednesday (August 8), three days after a powerful earthquake killed nearly 400 people and destroyed villages on Lombok island.

High-school student Nadia Reivana was rescued after a three-hour operation to haul her from a destroyed mini-market in Karang Montok village, Lombok, according to local TV journalist Muzakir, who filmed the scene.

Rescue workers used grinding machines to get to Reivana, who had survived on eggs and rice, according to Muzakir.

She is now recovering in hospital, according to local media.
