According to Gizmodo, Florida police have made an arrest in an alleged “SIM-jacking” ring. Based on court documents, reports are claiming that those involved have stolen SIM cards belonging to other individuals and have used them to acquire a small fortune. By obtaining a SIM card- the small smart card that links a mobile device to a specific person's account, an attacker can remotely seize control of the victim’s phone number.
