The planet we inhabit is full of mysteries. Especially when it comes to sightings of prehistoric beings, animals that according to various theories have been extinct for millions of years, but that are now appearing in images and videos that indicate otherwise. Although they do not have a good foundation on it, so most of them are anecdotes.

The following information that we will provide you with has impacted the worldwide scientific community, and I assure you that the same thing will happen to you.
All this happened in New Zealand in mid-2007, where in the past years, biologists and scientists were investigating the islands that make up the country. Their goal was to record the number of foreign species that inhabit these deep forests, until a story from the natives of the island of Polynesia stunned them.
According to their stories, on one island, there was a species known as the tuatara, or also known as the spiny back, which according to them was a small creature similar to an iguana, but the difference was that it was a very old animal and was present in their culture from prehistoric times.
The scientists, after hearing that, began the search for the supposed prehistoric animal.
It didn't take them long to find it, so they started an investigation to determine which animal it was. And after years of researching the tuatara or sphenodon, baptized as such by biologists, they were surprised to discover that it has lived on Earth for 200 million years and that it lived directly with the dinosaurs until their extinction.
Scientists classified it as a living fossil. But later on, they found something more shocking.
This species never changed its shape, so it remained so since the Jurassic period, and thanks to this, it was saved from extinction. Although its physical appearance is similar to that of the iguanas, it has nothing to do with them, but on the other hand, it shares many aspects with the iguanodon, a dinosaur that stepped on this planet 150 million years ago.
A curious fact dates back to 2010, when it was discovered that a specimen of the sphenodon lived more than 120 years.
There is no doubt that in nature, there is a whole world to discover.
In conclusion, the sphenodon is a dinosaur, which has been able to survive until the era of humanity.
