Lyme Disease Has Been Detected in All 50 U.S. States A report from Quest Diagnostics says the
tick-borne illness can be found everywhere in the United States. Ticks that carry Lyme disease are normally found in the Northeast. Quest's report is based on more than six million blood tests taken over the last seven years. Quest adds that cases of Lyme disease exploded in California and Florida, where it was not commonly seen in the past. Georgia, Arizona, Ohio, Texas, Tennessee and Virginia also saw disturbing increases in
Lyme disease cases. The clinical laboratory believes ticks are finding it easier to survive in new areas and spreading diseases to unsuspecting people.
