The 2014 Dakar begins on January 5 in Rosario, Argentina and will see the competitors complete a brutal race covering 8734km over 14 days.

In the fifth and final Red Bull preview we look at Dakar veteran Ruben Faria.

For years Faria has admirably fulfilled his role at KTM as Cyril Despres' support rider. But for 2014 he's been let off the leash.

The 39-year-old from Portugal, who finished second in the 2013 race, has a factory KTM and the backing of the proven Austrian squad behind him.
