India's U-11 boys finish runners-up in Gothia Cup and Cup No 1 | Oneindia News

Fatima XI Soccer Academy scripted history when they reached the finals of the Gothia Cup in Sweden and Cup No 1 in Denmark last month in the Boys' Under-11 category. The Gothia Cup is a 33-year-old football tournament held in Gothenburg that promotes friendship, camaraderie and peace among the participants who come from around the globe. The Cup No 1 is similarly held in Frederikshavn a week prior (July 10-14 this year) to the Gothia Cup (July 16-21). While in the Cup No 1, Fatima XI SA, competing under the banner Bangalore Soccer Academy, lost the final to Euro Sports Brasil and in the Gothia Cup, they were defeated by Desert Rangers Dubai. Back from their European exploits, Fatima XI are determined to better their results next year.
