NASCAR CEO Brian France Arrested for DWI The NASCAR chairman was booked by police for driving while intoxicated in
Sag Harbor, New York on Sunday night. Authorities say France was pulled over at around 7:30 p.m. after failing to stop at a stop sign. A subsequent search found that he also had oxycodone pills after police determined he was driving while "in an intoxicated condition." France was then held overnight and arraigned Monday morning before
being released. He currently faces charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated and criminal possession of a controlled substance. France became NASCAR CEO in 2003, following his father and grandfather, who founded the organization in 1948.
