Authorities in Laos have reportedly confirmed the death toll and number of missing after a dam collapse in the southern part of the country late last month..
Local news outlet ABC Laos reports that, as of Saturday, at least 33 deaths have been confirmed and 98 people are still missing.
Authorities say the death toll may climb as most of the bodies have yet to be recovered and are still buried under neck-deep mud.
The hydroelectric dam was under construction by South Korea's SK Engineering and Construction Company.
The Korean government has sent medical teams and supplies to the site to help with the recovery efforts.
