Mark Ruffalo, who plays The Hulk in the Marvel universe, wants his fellow Avenger Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson, to star in her own movie focusing on the origins of the character.

Black Widow has been a constant source of controversy for Marvel as they have been perceived to favour the male Avengers over her, both with the green-lighting of solo movies, as well as in merchandise.
