X-Men supremo Simon Kinberg tells us that the Channing Tatum Gambit movie could start shooting later this year and could be the 'first of many' solo movies for the character.

The writer/producer also updates on Josh Boone's New Mutants movie, and explains how the TV series Hellfire and Legion will fit into the movie continuity.

X-Men: Apocalypse is the third part of the prequel/ret-con/time-hop/alternate reality X-Men series, and sees the arrival of Apocalypse - an ancient and supremely powerful mutant that is so unimpressed with the 1980s that he decides to destroy the whole world and start afresh (obvs).
Series stars James McAvoy (Charles Xavier), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Nicholas Hoult (Hank McCoy/Beast) and Rose Byrne (Moira MacTaggert) are joined by newcomers Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), Olivia Munn (Psylocke), Ben Hardy (Archangel), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler) and Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse.

X-Men: Apocalypse is out May 18 (UK)
