Gov't to inject billions to promote industries related to 'Fourth Industrial Revolution'

The Finance ministry plans to make strategic investments to promote Korean industries considered crucial to the so-called Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Finance chief Kim Dong-yeon announced, the government is set to inject around 27-billion U.S. dollars until 2022 to promote the country's drone industry and seven other core innovative sectors.
He also says the ministry will select additional fields that need state support to promote global competitiveness and reflect them in next year's budget.
Kim says the goverment plans to come up with measures to revitalize the so-called "platform economy" and ease regulations on venture companies to boost merger and acquistion deals.
