The Mendocino Complex Fires, consisting of the Ranch Fire and River Fire in Mendocino and Lake Counties, have increased to 90,912 acres and are 24 percent contained, local media reported on August 1.

This time lapse, shared to Facebook by Robin Ashley Dolan, shows thick plumes of smoke growing above the fire. The video was taken on Old River Rd in Ukiah.

Fire officials warned that while they have help coming in from other states to tackle the fast-moving blaze, they are facing a shortage of resources as the growing fire threatened more than 12,000 structures.
