Cow helps out goat by feeding her kids with own milk

Here’s a case of a touching inter-species bond.

A goat gave birth to four kids 15 days ago in a village near Lingasagur in India.

For the first two days, the kids went a little hungry as her milk was not sufficient for all four of them.

Then the cow stepped in and started feeding the kids with her own milk.

Yamanur Megur, 42, who owns both the animals, was taken aback to see the kids rushing to the cow to drink milk. His family members have to sometimes wean the kids from the cow and leave them with their biological mother to feed.

A resident of the village, Shivappa Hatti, 37, said: “They are good friends. They are usually tied together in the same cattle shed. Even when they are left to graze, they stick together.”

“The cow is not very friendly. She allows only Yamanur to get close enough to milk her. But with the goat and her kids she is very generous,” he added.
