Robert Mugabe casts his vote in historic Zimbabwe election - Daily Mail

Former dictator Robert Mugabe was met with cheers and boos after he voted in the first election in Zimbabwe without his own name on the ballot. Yesterday, the 94-year-old said he would not support Zanu-PF, the ruling party he long controlled, nor President Emmerson Mnangagwa saying: 'I cannot vote for those who have tormented me'. Instead, he has backed a new political party that is part of a coalition supporting President Mnangagwa's main rival, 40-year-old lawyer and pastor Nelson Chamisa.
