With his latest announcement in partnering up with Reebok, Kendrick Lamar sets his sights on doing more than just talk about the brand's footwear, but rather looks to the partnership for expanding his message to a larger audience. Bringing cameras into his hometown of Compton, in the Anthony Mandler-directed short film, Lamar shed light on the talent and potential in his neighbourhood with a goal of inspiring communities from all over the world. We caught up with K.Dot during his appearance in New York to find out how the he plans to work with Reebok in hopes of contributing the next generation, all while learning about the individuals that he looked up to as a kid. Lamar also takes u back to the past as he discusses some of his favorite clothing pieces from the earlier days, and how those pieces acted as vessels for self-expression.
